about

A jellyfish species called Nomura evolved to almost 2 meters length of diameter and 200 kg (440 lb.). Nomuras are multiplying themselves at uncontrolled speed, eliminating edible fish and other important biological species. The proliferation of jellyfish and evolution of size appears in large part to be related to humans’ impact on the oceans (e.g. overfishing, releasing toxic substances in the seas), and it is heading towards an irreparable global disaster. For decades fishermen cut the captured Nomuras to pieces, and only recently discovered their post-mortem self-defense mechanism consisting in releasing thousands of eggs into the sea. When acting in groups, human beings think their wrongdoings are legitimate. They do not foresee the scalable and evolutionary potential of their actions.

lyrics

Do you remember the days
We ran through the virgin fields The crystal waters

We’ve spread all the filth Polluted our waters
Sacred was the gift
Sacred was the trust she had Sacred was the nature’s gift

Maybe we could take a step back We find ourselves in a cage that Will never release its redeemer We are confined

All our failures
All our shadows we breed Of purely sheer neglect
Resonance cascades
We cannot turn this page As we all looked away

This might be the last time you
alive
We are walking on broken glass
We have burned all the fields Incinerated our future
Incinerated the evolution of life on the surface
The generation of life in the seas

Flooded by the water
We are burned by the sun
The chain reaction that we’ve engaged Will blow us away from the rug of the earth

All our failures
All our shadows we breed Of purely sheer neglect Resonance cascades
We cannot turn this page As we all looked away

Haunted by the shades The shades of our neglect The shadows of our past

Rebirth is a constant we burned
